Balance

There is almost always talk among writers and artists about how you (we) can fit in time for our creative endeavors with life looming about. I have forgotten the number of times that I've been asked how I fit in school, work, writing, hobbies, and my daughter. My answer - I just do. But this week I'm finding out the necessity of some of those things. Per doctor's orders I'm off work (and there is no school) because of an inflamed Achilles Tendon (which when I first wrote it came as an inebriated Achilles --- hmm) so, I'm getting a lot of work done, but missing adult interaction and finding out just how many distractions there are. :) So it seems that I am one of those people that need the balance between science and creativity and between busy and bored. I'm also figuring out that I need deadlines within deadlines, since I work better under pressure. Who knew? *shrug* Happy Writing. Happy Reading. I'm off to do some world building.

I wish I could master the art of balance. I do one thing to excess then leave it sit forever, move on to something and then do that to excess. If you figure out the balance secret - let me know!
