Where I've Been --

I haven't been writing a lot, but I have been busy and I brought pictures.

The Lake

Sunset on Lake Michigan

The temperature of the lake is a balmy 37F
(it may reach the 60's by August, but there will be swimmers as soon as school is out for the summer)

My joy

The Faire

There were Knights.

There was a gargoyle --

-- inquisitive and pouted and was hurt when the kids wouldn't smile at him.

There was a fire eater --
(don't try this at home)

A sword wielding, Gypsy Dancer

And Vikings --

The Viking encampment was there both weekends, all week, and they were as authentic as possible, and gave demonstrations to anyone who stopped by. Hand dyed yarns, weaving, pottery, and leatherwork were among the crafts represented.

They helped themselves to the Queen's 'Ale'

The wandering path

The Fool --

Swordsman and Warrior -

Flamingo came back from Iraq for the first weekend of Faire, and returned to Iraq on the next Monday.
